来たる9月22日、東京渋谷は”Circus Tokyo”で行なわれるイベント “Interim Report edition2” に出演します。開始17時という社会人の皆様には厳しめの時間から始まって、21時終了という終ったあともう少し遊びに行けそうな時間で終る健全な時間のイベントです。先日、主催者の方とミーティングがありイベントの趣旨など聞かせてもらいましたが、普通のクラブイベントとは一味違うイベントを目指している、そんな実験的なイベントです。

僕は当日19時30分より dropcontrol/TRIO という名義でバンド編成で、ドラムに3月にも共演していただいた吉島智仁(よしじま ともひと)さん、キーボードには同じ菊地成孔門下繋がりで村北泰規(むらきた やすのり)さんを迎えてトリオ編成での出演です (毎回誰か直前にシットインすることが決まるので今回もあるかもしれませんが・笑)。メンバーのプロフィールは以下を参照してください。

大和比呂志(やまと ひろし)
ギタリスト、テナーサックス奏者、音楽家
ギター演奏を小川銀次、市野元彦に、音楽理論、テナーサックスを菊地成孔に師事。現在はIAMASに在学。三輪眞弘に師事しポリ/クロスリズムに着目した研究を進めている。ex-Jazzプロジェクト"dropcontrol"を主宰。今回はドラムに吉島智仁(よしじま ともひと)、キーボードに村北泰規(むらきた やすのり)を迎え"dropcontrol/TRIO"として演奏。

吉島智仁(よしじま ともひと)
ドラム奏者
打楽器、非打楽器から流れ出るパルス。
微音、弱音のコントロールを得意とし、振り幅の大きいダイナミクスを駆使して独特なうねりを生み出す音の旅人。

村北泰規(むらきた やすのり)
九州芸術工科大学音響設計学科/情報伝達専攻卒。音響心理学にて学位と修士号を取得。</br> また、ジャズピアノを細川正彦氏に、音楽理論を菊地成孔に師事。現在は都内某楽器メーカにて商品企画および開発を担当しつつ、個人の活動として音楽活動および音楽知覚研究を継続。概ねデタラメなアプローチで自由気ままな演奏を信条とする二児の父。

dropcontrol名義(DUOとQUINTET)で過去に2回演奏しています。下記にライブの映像を貼っておきますのでよろしかったらどうぞ。

I will be performing at “Interim Report edition2” on September 22nd at Circus Tokyo in Shibuya, Tokyo. The event starts at 5 PM and ends at 9 PM – a reasonable schedule that still leaves room to go out afterwards. I recently had a meeting with the organizer and heard about the event’s concept; it aims to be something different from a typical club event – an experimental event.

I’ll be performing from 7:30 PM as “dropcontrol/TRIO” in a band format, with Tomohito Yoshijima on drums (who I also performed with in March) and Yasunori Murakita on keyboards (a fellow student of Naruyoshi Kikuchi). Hiroshi Yamato
Guitarist, tenor saxophonist, musician
Studied guitar with Ginji Ogawa and Motohiko Ichino; music theory and tenor saxophone with Naruyoshi Kikuchi. Currently enrolled at IAMAS, studying under Masahiro Miwa, conducting research focused on polyrhythm/cross-rhythm. Leads the ex-Jazz project "dropcontrol". Performing as "dropcontrol/TRIO" with Tomohito Yoshijima on drums and Yasunori Murakita on keyboards.

Tomohito Yoshijima
Drummer
Pulses flowing from both percussion and non-percussion instruments.
A sonic traveler who specializes in controlling subtle and quiet sounds, creating unique undulations through wide dynamic range.

Yasunori Murakita
Graduated from Kyushu Institute of Design, Department of Acoustic Design / Information Science. Obtained bachelor's and master's degrees in psychoacoustics.
Studied jazz piano with Masahiko Hosokawa and music theory with Naruyoshi Kikuchi. Currently works in product planning and development at a musical instrument company in Tokyo while continuing personal music activities and music perception research. A father of two whose creed is free-spirited performance with a generally random approach.
